These rules set the guidelines for arbitration of civil cases. Arbitration is compulsory if the amount of money in controversy is within statutory limits, but cases may also be referred to arbitration upon party agreement. The court will maintain a list of eligible arbitrators, from which it will appoint a Board of Arbitration for each case. Arbitrator fees, the location and time of the hearing, and motions for continuances are also addressed in the rules.
